Weekly Mobile Photography Theme #Joy

Weekly Theme #Joy

Last weeks theme was #Joy. We received photos ranging from people and animals enjoying themselves to subjects that bring joy to the photographer.

Each week the Better Mobile Photos Community Facebook group hosts a weekly photography theme inviting members to share mobile phone photos, techniques, tips, favourite apps and editing techniques. It is a fun, supportive and social community, specifically for Android and iPhone photographers of all levels.

The winners (#PeoplesChoice) are determined by the number of likes and comments received from the group. Below, you will see last weeks winning entries together with some other amazing contributions.

Photos do not come much more authentic than this one. I believe this is why it was so popular in our group. The two expressions are different, however are both undeniably proud. This photo tells the story of Jan’s son being proud of his medal and being surrounded by love and support. It is a great moment and connection between the two.

We had a few photos of dogs in this weeks’ theme. They were all fantastic. This photo is just too cute. Capturing the two front feet in the air and big flowing ears is perfectly times. Dogs have so much expression. If you zoom in closer, you will also notice a lovely excited expression.

Fran’s photo is just visually stunning. The timing of the wave breaking silhouetted by the sun is just spot on. The water breaks up the horizon that would have otherwise effectively split the photo in two being so close to the centre. The sun is positioned really nicely almost directly on top of the Fibonacci golden rule suggestion of subject placement in the photo.

I would have loved to be there taking this photo.
